The Respondents GigE provides loopback functionality with low-cost, palm-sized platform, which is the perfect companion to Sunset MTT Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet modules and Ethernet STT, STT Metro, STT ONE module and Sunlite GigE units. When the Ethernet and IP traffic through the switch or router, the source and destination address is checked, logged, and used to drive the loop lintas.Sebuah simple hardware such as that used for the TDM network is insufficient for testing. In contrast, an intelligent loop devices should switch the source and destination addresses in the MAC and IP headers.

With the test, the standard full-featured set at one end of the series and the responder GigE on the other hand, a technician can verify the throughput, bit error rate, roundtrip delay, packet jitter ( delay variation) , and quality service. Ping and Traceroute functions verify Layer 3 connectivity for Internet access, Voice over IP ( VoIP) , IPTV, and other IP services.
